MOSES LAKE – City Manager Kevin Fuhr appointed Dave Sands chief of the Moses Lake Police Department this week.
“I have total confidence in Chief Sands’ abilities and know that he will continue to lead the department in a positive direction,” Fuhr said.
Sands has worked for the City of Moses Lake for 31 years and was named captain in 2009. He has served as acting chief since May when then Chief Fuhr became interim city manager.
A badge ceremony is scheduled to take place at the November 14 City Council meeting.
