MOSES LAKE – After serving nearly 32 years in law enforcement, with 17 years as police chief, Kevin Fuhr has retired as Moses Lake’s police chief, effective Tuesday, October 24.
The Moses Lake City Council named Fuhr city manager at its regular meeting on Tuesday. He had been serving as interim city manager since May.
Fuhr’s goals as city manager are to work with the department directors on streamlining processes, improving efficiency and finding solutions to the City’s infrastructure needs. He is gathering goals from department directors, which will be part of their evaluations.
He said he will continue to be involved in the community, working with business owners and developers to help further the City’s interests.
“We will continue working on customer service so the City can focus on serving the community,” Fuhr commented.
