Covid-19 Utility Relief Program
ABOUT
Governor Inslee has issued Proclamation 20-23, pertaining to Utility Ratepayer Assistance and Preservation of Essential Services. The City of Moses Lake is committed to keeping our customers connected to essential services during the COVID-19 pandemic emergency. If you are experiencing hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, you may be eligible for support, including long-term payment arrangements or bill assistance. This Proclamation does not relieve customers from the obligation to pay for utility services.
City of Moses Lake is offering a temporary relief program which is a two-phase program offering assistance for delinquent accounts of a single-family residence. Customers can apply for a payment arrangement contract, and may be eligible for up to $250 toward delinquent accounts that accrued balances after March 2020 through the CARES Act Grant.
WHO QUALIFIES?
Qualifying applicants must be one of the following: the property owner of their primary residence, tenant signed in to the utility account with a Billing Waiver signed by the property owner on file with the billing department, or a tenant that can provide proof that they are responsible for paying the City utility bill for a rental property by providing a copy of a lease agreement, valid photo ID, and will require the property owner/manager to sign the payment contract.
