Free Family Saturday

The first Saturday of every month, between 12:00 noon and 2:00 pm, the Moses Lake Museum & Art Center sponsors a free family activity or special program.

Free Family Saturday is fun for the whole family and is open to all ages. Activities fill on a first come first served basis and run until supplies have been exhausted.

Day-of registration will be available, legal guardian must be present to sign waivers. 

Funding for Free Family Saturday:

So you know it’s fun, and it’s always free - but where exactly does funding for Free Family Saturday come from? From puff-balls to presentations and everything in between Free Family Saturday is funded entirely by donations to the museum through our membership program, sponsorships and the annual Rusty Mammoth Art & Collectible sale.

August FREE FAMILY SATURDAY: beaded butterfly -- to go --

Date: July 27 through August 1, 2020 - Saturday
Time: 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. each day
Location: Outside the front of the Museum/Civic Center, 401 S. Balsam St.

Even though the Museum is closed to the public, we still want to spread the arts to our community!

We have bagged up our Family Saturday Craft for August, Beaded Butterflies. Please come visit us the week of July 27th from 12:00-2:00 to pick up your free craft kit!

We will be located outside the front of the Museum/Civic Center building, look for the table set up with brown paper bags!

Limit one kit per participant. Washington State social distancing and mask mandates will be practiced.

September FREE FAMILY SATURDAY: cork sailboat

Date: September 5, 2020
Time: 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.
Location: Museum Classroom, 401 S. Balsam St.

We will be making a cute, float-able mini sailboat made out of simple corks! This craft is tentatively scheduled for September 5, dependent on which phase of Washington’s "Safe Start" Grant County is in. If we are not yet in phase 3, we will plan on handing out craft kits to-go, and this website will be updated with our new plan.
