Central Basin Traffic Safety Task Force
By collaborating with community members, organizations and law enforcement, this task force provides traffic safety education and enforcement throughout Grant and Adams County in an effort to reduce the number of serious injuries and fatalities due to traffic collisions.
The primary function of this unit is to represent the department at official functions, and specifically at funerals to honor those officers that are killed in the line of duty.
The Patrol Division is responsible for handling a variety of calls for service, and enforcing the state and municipal criminal and traffic laws.
The Moses Lake Police Department offers this program for citizens with a desire to give something back to the community or persons considering a career in Law Enforcement.
School Resource Officers
The Moses Lake Police Department has formed a partnership with the Moses Lake School District and currently has two officers assigned to the school resource officer program.
Street Crimes Unit
The Street Crimes Unit (SCU) is primary responsible for investigating street crimes utilizing community-oriented policing principals.
Tactical Response Team / Negotiators
The Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team (MLRTRT) was formed in 1999 to meet the special policing needs of the community.
