Family/Education Fund

In order to meet rising demand, the museum has established a special fund exclusively to support free family and educational programming. The Family/Education Fund is supported by the sale of wine tickets at events, additional donations collected through membership renewals and by direct donations to the fund.

In addition to the Free Family Saturday Program, the fund will support events presented in partnership with the Moses Lake Public Library, Central Basin Audubon and other entities, school tours, and special projects identified during our annual "Feed the Mammoth" Membership Drive.

Introducing the New Family/Education Fund
Young visitors through our Free Family Saturday events and school tours are our fastest growing audiences! So to help meet demand for quality educational programming the museum has established a special "Family/Education Fund." All proceeds from the sale of wine tickets at events, additional donations collected through membership renewals and direct donations all benefit the Family/Education Fund.

2016 Family/Education Fund Goals
In addition to continuing the Free Family Saturday program the museum has identified two specific goals supported by the Family/Education fund in 2016.

  • Adding an online portal for access to our museum collections
  • Developing standardized school tours based on local history curriculum
