This project includes rebuilding a total of approximately 306 Parkson Biofuser Assemblies located and operating in two aeration basins at the City’s Sand Dunes Wastewater Treatment Plant located on Road K SE. The work will include removing each assembly from the existing operational aeration chains, replacing the Parkson Biofuser Sheaths (quantity five per Biofuser Assembly) and replacing other components such as O-rings, hose clamps, and downcomer hoses. Additional components may also be replaced as needed, such as complete Biofuser Assembly Counterweights. Approximately 17 Biofuser new complete assemblies may be assembled from City stock materials to replace existing assemblies. The work will require tools specialized for this type of work including a maintenance boat outfitted with a hand operated winch for raising the aeration chains.

All bids shall be received before said opening time in sealed envelopes with SAND DUNES WWTP BIOFUSER REBUILD marked plainly thereon.

All bids shall be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a postal money order, cashier's check, or bond in an amount equal to 5 percent of the maximum total of the bid.

All bidders shall be on the MRSC Small Works Roster prior to bid opening. Only bids from bidders who have received plans and specifications VIA the Civic Center Annex will be accepted. Copies of plans and specifications are on file for review at the cityofml.com Engineering projects website.
