1. Where is the Moses Lake Fire Department located?

The main station is located at 701 E. Third Ave. The Fire Chief’s Office and Fire Marshal’s Office are located at this station. The public entrance is located on the Third Avenue side of the building.

2. Who do I call to schedule a fire inspection?

Call the department administrative coordinator at (509) 764-3848 to schedule inspections.

3. How do I get a copy of a fire report?

Fire incident reports are generally made available on the same day as the incident to the owner or resident of the property the fire incident was located at. These reports are available Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm at the main station, 701 E. Third Ave.

Fire investigation reports are generally available within 10 days of the incident. Fire investigation reports are available by providing a written request to:

The request should indicate the property address, the date of the loss, and the requesting party’s relationship to the property.

4. Does the Fire Department work on fire extinguishers?

No. Several local companies offer this service. Look for them in the yellow pages under fire extinguishers or fire equipment.

5. Where can I get my blood pressure checked?

You can have your blood pressure checked free of charge at either Moses Lake Fire Department station between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, 7 days a week. Please note that the stations may not always be staffed if we are out on calls.

6. Are tours available to visit the fire station?

Tours are available Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 am through 5:00 pm at our headquarters station located at 701 E. 3rd Avenue. An appointment for the tour is necessary. Please contact the administrative assistant at (509) 764-3847 to obtain a request form.

7. What are the rules for outdoor burning?

8. What is an automated external defibrillator? How do I use one?

An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias of ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia in a patient, and is able to treat them through defibrillation, the application of electrical therapy which stops arrhythmia, allowing the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm. The device itself provides simple audio and visual commands, making it easy for use by most people in the event of a cardiac emergency.
