Coffee with the Curator

New History Club Developing!

Small Coffee with the CuratorLearn how to make your history part of the museum and keep your local history local! Chat with the Museum Curator, enjoy light snacks, reminisce, share photos and heirlooms and learn about upcoming museum programs. Coffee with the Curator meets quarterly.

The purpose of the museum's Coffee with the Curator program is to support the preservation of Moses Lake's cultural heritage.

Coffee with the Curator convenes quarterly to:

  • Provide advice and recommendations for the purpose of historical resource development.
  • Identify material and archival resources relevant to the museum's scope of collections.
  • Facilitate donations of new collection items.

Volunteer Opportunities

Participants who register as City of Moses Lake volunteers may also apply to work in these areas:

  • Research information relevant to existing or potential museum collections.
  • Oral history interviews: carrying out the interviews, editing and transcribing the recordings.
  • Numbering, inventorying and photographing the museum collection and new donations.
  • Assisting and advocating at public events.
  • Helping to curate temporary and long-term exhibitions.

Coffee with the Curator meetings are open to the public. We invite anyone with an interest in preserving Moses Lake history and heritage to attend.
