About
The purpose of the Engineering Division is to help plan, construct, oversee, and provide technical support to maintain and improve the level of service of the City's infrastructure systems for the citizens and businesses of Moses Lake.
To meet this purpose, the Engineering Division focuses on performing three main functions:
- Designing, bidding, and performing construction management services for City financed projects to maintain and improve the integrity of the City's water, sewer and transportation infrastructure systems.
- Providing engineering oversight of the infrastructure for private improvements and developments to ensure that they are designed and constructed in accordance with the City's Community Standards and accepted engineering practices.
- Working with other City departments and divisions to develop long- and short-range improvements plans to meet the future demands on the City's infrastructure. These plans include the Moses Lake Comprehensive Plan, Six-Year Transportation Improvement Plan (PDF), Community Standards, Water System Plan, and Sewer System Plan.
