A pre-application meeting should be scheduled with staff before an application is finalized and submitted. A pre-application meeting is required for most new buildings, remodels, and land use actions. The meeting will include City staff that will be reviewing the permit, such as a Building Inspector, Planner, Development Engineer, and Fire Marshal.

Contact a Planner at (509) 764-3750 to schedule the meeting. We need about a week's notice to coordinate schedules of the staff members who will attend, and to give everyone time to review the proposal before the meeting. There is no fee for a pre-application meeting.
