The Citizens' Academy is coming up in April.
Moses Lake PD as well as other area agencies will be hosting the annual Citizens' Academy beginning April 4th. This is an opportunity for residents of Grant County to learn a little bit about the inner working of law enforcement and some of the things we do.
The five-week course will take place at Big Bend Community College, and classes will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It will cover topics such as use of force, active shooter response, traffic enforcement, accident investigation, gang and drug investigations, Neighborhood Watch Programs and much more.
Unfortunately, we won't be holding any classes on writing funny Facebook posts. The guy who does that will be at clown school, which is a prerequisite for promotion to admin.
If you are interested in attending, there are a couple application forms attached to the flyers below. You can fill those out and mail, email or drop them off. Or, you can contact Moses Lake Police Captain Mike Williams at firstname.lastname@example.org or 509-764-3900 to apply or to get more information.
